informs me that my request to see the Goldner Report has been refused by the assigned Investigator either in full or in redacted form and that I have just a few days to request that the inquiry proceed to another level, something which I have every intention of doing.
I have written earlier on this topic in this blog in “Freedom of Information??” (Oct 22, 2017) and in “More Freedom of Information re: Goldner Report” a bit later. If you have not read these posts you may wish to take a look at them to get a feel for why I find this rejection which I would characterize as an attempt to protect those responsible against the interests of the community so reprehensible. I, for one, am tired of being told that, as an ordinary tax paying citizen, I am so far below the salt at the table of representative government that I, and all those ordinary citizens like me, can be so easily brushed off. I have not granted all my rights to information about the affairs of my community to those who were elected years ago and seem to have been untouchable by those they represent since then. Am I alone? I would appreciate your comments on this inquiry.
